Under 6s:

Our Under 6s focus on fun and basic skills development, introducing young players to football in a supportive environment.

Under 7 Lions:

The Lions are a competitive Under 7 team working on teamwork and basic match tactics in friendly games.

Under 7 Tigers:

The Tigers are our second Under 7 team, focusing on ball control and building confidence on the pitch.

Under 8 Phoenix:

The Phoenix team is all about developing players’ agility and coordination, with an emphasis on attacking play.

Under 8 Lynx:

Lynx players focus on passing and positioning, preparing for more structured gameplay in matches.

Under 9 Tigers:

The Under 9 Tigers are honing their defensive skills and learning advanced ball control through competitive play.

Under 10 Pumas:

Pumas focus on teamwork and communication, working on their midfield strategies and match tactics.

Under 10 Panthers:

The Panthers are building strength in set pieces and are known for their fast-paced attacking style.

Under 12 Panthers:

Our Under 12 Panthers are developing tactical awareness and honing their defensive and offensive balance.

Under 13:

The Under 13 team is transitioning to more competitive leagues, working on fitness, strategy, and discipline.

Under 14 Tigers:

Tigers at this level focus on advanced gameplay strategies and team cohesion, preparing for higher competition.

Under 15 Jaguars:

Jaguars are refining their overall game with a focus on positioning, endurance, and tactical adaptability.

Cubs and Future Stars:

Cubs are our youngest players, starting their football journey with fun games designed to teach basic skills and a love for the sport.

OUR REPUTATION

Seedfield Sports Juniors FC is highly regarded within the football community as a well-organised and appealing junior football club, known for delivering excellent value for money. Our strong reputation comes from the praise of professional clubs, County FAs, local authorities, sporting organisations, and local leagues. Community members, including our weekly opponents, also recognise us for our quality and approach.

What sets us apart, however, is the feedback we receive from parents. We are proud to be seen as a family-centred club that prioritises the enjoyment and development of our young players. While we encourage competitive play, the focus remains on ensuring a positive and inclusive football experience for all participants. This is why more and more families are choosing Seedfield Sports Juniors FC for their children.

We have a player base of over 200 young people, primarily from Bury, with additional players from surrounding areas like Heywood and Middleton.

Our Home – Exciting Developments Ahead

Our club is based at Parkinson St, Bury BL9 6NY. It’s an exciting time for the club, as we are on the brink of securing significant investments to upgrade our facilities. These upgrades include enhancements to our playing fields and the construction of a two-storey Community Pavilion/Hub. This development will solidify Seedfield Sports Juniors FC as a premier sports organisation in the borough, allowing us to expand our services and cater to a growing community.

We are consistently recognised by Sport England and local authorities for our contributions to the local community. These awards reflect the positive impact of our club, which has 75 kids and 50 volunteers, along with their families, who together create a vibrant and supportive environmen

Where We Play – Our Leagues

Our teams proudly compete in the North Bury League, where we continue to nurture talent and promote sportsmanship across all age groups.

Coach Qualifications

At Seedfield Sports Juniors FC, we are proud to have over 75 qualified volunteers, each holding a variety of certifications. All our managers, assistants, and club officials either hold or are working towards qualifications in areas such as:

•FA Level 1 and Level 2 Coaching

•First Aid

•Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Vulnerable Adults

•Refereeing

•Goalkeeping Coaching

•Age-Appropriate Coaching

•UEFA B Coaching (for some coaches)

•Coaching Disabled Footballers

This diverse range of expertise ensures that every team benefits from experienced and knowledgeable coaching. We also have access to FA Consultants and Mentor Coaches through our FA Charter Status, which helps our coaches continue their professional development by staying up-to-date with the latest coaching techniques and guidance.

DBS/CRB Checks

To reassure parents, all of our volunteers undergo thorough DBS/CRB background checks, ensuring that those working with children and vulnerable adults are vetted and cleared for their roles.

Winter Training

We provide all winter training for our teams, including both floodlit and indoor sessions, at various sites around Bury, fully funded by the club.

School Links

We are actively connected to numerous schools within the Bury borough, further expanding opportunities for young players to get involved in football.

Our primary goal is to create a positive, supportive, and safe football environment where players, especially children, can enjoy their time with us. We emphasise enjoyment over results, encouraging positive behaviour both on and off the field. Mistakes are seen as learning opportunities, and we encourage effort over criticism.

We are committed to fostering self-control and respect, eliminating aggression and bullying.
